yeah i'm thinking the same.
I first thought it was here and there like most other religious institutions...now i'm thinking maybe the top guys at Brooklyn have some skeletons in the closet.
dear members,.
i am an investigative journalist with the australian public broadcaster, the abc.
we are currently gathering information from members of the jehovah's witnesses who experienced sexual abuse as children and adolescents in australia.
yeah i'm thinking the same.

for many christians, the bible is viewed as the 100% error-free, perfect book straight from god, where every single word was carefully chosen by god for a reason.
but, usually, when you have a discussion on the topic, these christians will end up saying that only the original copies written directly from the hands of the prophets and apostles were error-free, and all manuscript copies since then are subject to copyist mistakes and other errors.. since zero original copies are in existence, how do we know the originals were error-free?
why should we think the originals should be error-free to begin with?
In my opinion the bible is just a bunch of books written by a bunch of people to try and explain the unseen or/divine. And they use real events and people to inspire their thoughts and musings.
i really enjoy hearing about other people's lives.
feeling a little lonely this evening so please tell me if you have plans for the summer months.
i may go to some outdoor theatre with my daughter who's home from uni; with a picnic and a bottle of wine.
I'll try my best not to get caught getting up to all sorts of things that would get me DFD
the last article in this new wt, shows me that the organization is dealing with much information that is damaging them.
i am sure that the many recent lawsuits are being noticed by the r&f.. here are some gems from that article, titled the naive person believes every word.
we must be very selective about what we consider worthy of our attention.

My guess there is going to be a massive media circus soon on the JWs, and this is just damage control.
They are feeling the heat.
i was driving along a busy road the other day, and their was a lot of cars going in the opposite direction.
i thought to myself, "why is there so many cars going the other way, when it's so quiet on my side of the road?".
an obviously stupid thought, because there was more than likely the same amount of traffic travelling the same direction as me, i just obviously couldn't see it, as i'm couped up in my car.. sometimes i think i'm the only one who is awake to the wt bs.

Sometimes i think i'm the only one who is awake to the WT BS. I wonder why there seems to be so many active JWs who think differently to me and are toeing the line.
But the reality is, just because we can't see any traffic going the same direction as us, doesn't mean it isn't there. Chances are, the ratio is about the same as what we can visibly see travelling the opposite direction.

This sounds like damage control on f**king steroids.
It's this kind of stuff that used to make me suspicious of anyone other than JWs. I used to think that there was this huge network of apostates who all got together and devised devious methods to lead practicing JWs away.
I was so f**king stupid.
a witness friend wanted to meet up recently and talk.
since this person was a close friend and who i thought had a level head, i'd go ahead and speak with him.
our conversation actually helped me figure a few things out not only for myself but also about the witnesses.. so we're talking and i'm telling him my experience and the doctrines that i disagreed with as well as the scandals that made me disgusted with the organization.
I used to say the exact same thing.
"All these things don't matter. It's all trivial. What is important is that the main teachings have never changed, that Jesus died for our sins and we are going to live forever on a paradise earth. It doesn't matter that these other teachings keep changing".
Oh how stupid i once was.
near the top of page 15 in the april 15, 2015 watchtower shows a photo of the malawi congress party card made the center of jws being severely persecuted in malawi in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
the lie is furthered in this watchtower article is that the whole issue was over jws refusing to involve themselves in politics.
readers who want to know the whole story of what caused this persecution are invited to consider evidence in the following article presentations: .
Surely the current GB members could have laid this matter to bed by not mentioning it anymore, and blame their predecessors if it ever was brought up?
By bringing this up, they are complicit in the actions of previous GB members.
It's very bizarre.
if you were at the watchtower how many times did you hear this idiotic condescending word?
i think i must have heard it 500 times.
the learner.
My guess they will keep bringing the word up in WTs to come, and it will stick.
They obviously want it to stick.
"learn to clean", "learn to do as your told"...What exactly are they learning that they shouldn't already know?
Yes, more weirdness from WT world.
